La instalación evoca el vendaje como procedimiento encaminado a envolver un área del cuerpo lesionada. Este recurso ejerce en su manifestación clínica funciones de compresión, contención y corrección. Encuentro paralelos simbólicos entre la medicina y los sistemas de espionaje y control. Ambos sistemas estudian al individuo desde la sospecha y los síntomas. La enfermedad es el enemigo, se trata de curar y luchar. La medicina observa al cuerpo como órgano de subversión. El título de esta pieza cita un texto del filósofo Peter Sloterdijk, que reflexiona sobre estas similitudes.

The installation evokes the bandage as a procedure aimed at wrapping an injured area of the body. From the clinical perspective, this resource focusses on different functions of compression, containment and correction. I find symbolic parallels between medicine and the systems of espionage and control. Both systems study the individual from suspicion and symptoms. Disease is the enemy, it is about healing and fighting. Medicine regards the body as an organ of subversion. The title of this piece quotes a text by the philosopher Peter Sloterdijk, who reflects on these similarities.
